Styling Tips To Carry You Through the Recession

“find ways to serve your feminine primping needs without putting a dent in your budget.”

Cheap Fashionable ClothesOh the recession, we hear about it all day long, on the radio, the 11, 5, and 10 o’clock news. Tuning in for hope, only to hear the redundant words “ well folks, it’s going to get worse.”  This of course affects many aspects of our lives but it does not have to affect our ability to enjoy life even when times get tough. Maybe this means that you have to cut the visits to the nail salons, hair salons and not get that Marc Jacobs bag you really wanted to match with your lovely new pumps. Maybe it means that your credit card will have take a hiatus for a bit. The good news is that we as human beings have an innate ability to adapt to different situations and environments, why not adapt to this period and find ways to serve your feminine primping needs without putting a dent in your budget.

Old is New

“your closet can be full of hidden treasures”

Fashion For LessLook at the clothes you already have in your closet and find ways to create new outfits. One of the comments I always get from my friends is that it always seems I have a new outfit on, that they’ve never seen me in the same outfit twice. Well of course that’s not the case, I don’t go crazy shopping for a new daily look. What I do look for are new ways to switch up the clothes I already have. Layering, cutting old jeans into shorts, long skirt into short skirt. Adding a cool motorcycle jacket to a cute short dress can punk up a look but still keep it feminine, sexy and cool.  Putting tights under shorts with a loose top and boots, rolling up skinny jeans with your favorite pumps. Your closet can be full of hidden treasures!
