One of the things I like to do is look through magazines to find looks that I like and try to recreate them with what I have. Sometimes this can inspire a whole new outfit you never thought about. You might see a vest worn in a way that’s not so conventional or might see color combination’s that you’ve never thought of before, a scarf that’s wrapped a certain way, a necklace that serve’s as a full art piece, a head band that gives you the boho sheek chic look. Remember to keep your mind open to new ideas, try things you haven’t tried before, you never know what you can come up with. I once cut an old Victoria Secret night slip to the length of a tank top and wore it with my blazer jacket. Use fashion magazines to influence you in creating new looks. Be daring, you only live once!

Layering:

Putting a hooded sweatshirt underneath a jacket is a great way to switch up looks. Hold the sleeves of the hoodie when your slipping your arms through the jacket so the extra material will stick out and pull the hood out to hang on the outside of the jacket, this will create a very stylish look and keep you warmer. I prefer to layer colors that have more contrast, like my brown leather jacket with a red or yellow hoodie. When wearing tights, add legwarmers with boots. If you have high boots that almost reach the knee, pulling the legwarmers over the knees, like thigh highs can add a very stylish effect. I love layering my gray tank top with different tee’s. I wear it with tights, I wear it with jeans, I wear it with sweaters, I wear it with a printed t-shirt and a vest, and sometimes just by itself. Layering in new combination’s, refreshes the old and the boring. The point is to play around, get inspired and create new possibilities.
