Best Colors To Wear | Don’t Wait For An Occasion

Don’t Wait for an Occasion

Believe it or not, our wardrobe can have a significant influence on affecting our moods.
Sometimes we dress to fit our spirit and other times we need to dress to lift our spirit. Living in
Los Angeles can sometimes suck you into the suburbia, velour sweat wearing mode. The longer
you allow yourself to stay in that mood, the harder it is to get out of those sweats and uggs. One
day I was walking with my mom, she stopped at a storefront, looked at the clothes and said “ If
I was your age, I would wear all this stuff, the colors and skirts and dresses and all”.  That made
me realize that at some point I won’t be able to wear certain styles and lengths, so I need to
take advantage now and not wait for the “right” occasion to wear fun clothes. Those that know
me, know that I sport dresses very often. I encourage all my girlfriends to wear dresses, even if
their going to a dive bar. Why? Because you can! Do not wait for an occasion, make everyday a
special one, deserving your attention.

Pep Up Your Mood With Color

“If you’re having a day that just wants to sink you back into bed, go for bright colors and patterns.”

Let’s take a look at what colors can do:

Red is confidence, daring, spunk, poise, boldness
Orange is vivacious, active, dynamic, driving, spirited, vigorous
Yellow is happy, joyful, cheerful, blessed, peaceful, sunny, perky
Pinks, purple and blues are soothing, calm, relaxing
Green is warm, solace, is uplifting, magnifying, inciting
“Wearing dresses with flats or casual boots is one way of toning down the fancy factor and
making it more street wear style yet keeping the feminine appeal.”

“Adding a blazer to a dress can switch the mood as well. If you’re not into bearing legs, you can
pair the blazer with a longer length dress.”

“If you’re not into brights, adding a pop of color can work for you. As my mother says “ every
outfit has to have a bright spot.” Shoes, a belt, or a scarf are a great ways to add some spunk
into your look.”
